Guardian Collective: Waco's Premier Destination for Automotive Enthusiasts

By: jwilder

Excitement is brewing in Waco, Texas, as a new haven for automotive enthusiasts will soon open its doors – Guardian Collective.

What exactly is Guardian Collective? In their words: "Guardian Collective is the Central Texas social destination serving automotive enthusiasts, guitar collectors, tourists, and business owners in Waco, TX."

That sounds pretty exciting to me.

The Dream of Two Enthusiasts

Guardian Collective is the dream of two enthusiasts. The idea was born out of a conversation on I-35 while driving into Dallas to pick up a collector car. John McGovern and Preston Seibert dreamt about what they wanted to create and reminisced on the beauty of a high end vintage car and guitar shop in Miami. But then they asked the question, "What if we did that in Waco?"

They began working on the project and the dream is beginning to take shape.

A Historic Automotive Building

The building they chose for Guardian Collective is located at 906 Austin Ave.

The automotive roots of this building go back to 1925, when the Central Motor Company had their grand opening on September 29, 1925. They sold new Dodge vehicles in the showroom on Austin Avenue. They also sold Dodge trucks and used cars on the Franklin side of the building.

The Vision of Guardian Collective

The vision of Guardian Collective is to be a haven for car and music aficionados with unique offerings, such as:

  • Car Storage - Nearly 20,000 square feet of meticulously climate-controlled collector car storage space.
  • Offices - Luxury single and group offices available to rent on a monthly basis.
  • Members Club - Lounge access and many other amenities.
  • Coffee & Bar - Coffee and spirits at
  • Premium Vendors - World class car, guitar, and custom clothier.
  • Automotive Events - Regular car events showcasing exotic from around the Waco area, Texas, and beyond.

The projected completion target is Winter 2024 - Spring 2025.

In the meantime, there will be events!
